Lose Weight- 5 Myths
Excess weight is a common topic of discussion at coffee tables, amongst friends, family members, at work... Let's have a look at the most common weight loss myths people believe in:
Myth 1: Food eaten in the evening contributes more to weight gain.Wrong: What counts is the amount of calories you add up during the day, but the time of the day you consume those calories is of minor significance. If you were on low calories during the day you can afford a dinner without worries.
Myth 2: To skip breakfast or lunch is good for staying slim or reducing weight.Wrong: This is a wrong assumption. Skipping breakfast will increase your cravings for food till lunch time and you will probably forget your goal for the day and eat a lot more than you should. The same applies to skipping lunch. If you still manage to stay away from all snacks and sweets during the afternoon but your hunger will be out of control latest at dinner time. Thus you will add more calories than you would with regular meals.
Myth 3: Five meals instead of three are a better way to lose weight.Wrong: It makes no difference how many times a day you eat. Important is that you limit the total amount of calories. If you have more meals it might be easier for you to control hunger. But on the other hand, if you are having a hard time to resist eating more food than you should, you might be better off with three meals only. Less exposure to food means less temptations.
Myth 4: The metabolism of people over 40 is slowing down, thus putting on weight is unavoidable.Wrong: True is that muscle mass gradually decreases with age if people do not exercise. As a result, increasing fat deposition develops a risk factor for your health. Regular exercise can help you to prevent that. Don't take your advanced age as an excuse for gaining weight. It only takes more effort to keep up your exercise routine and maintain a healthy level of fitness.
Myth 5: If sport activities and regular work out keeps you fit and slim, so you don't have to care about your choice of food.Wrong: The number of calories being burnt during workout is mostly overestimated. To burn 300 calories one has to swim for 40 minutes. Remember, to lose weight you don't only have to burn the calorie value of your daily food intake but also fat from your storage. That's a hell of a task. One kilo of fat is equal to 7000 calories. To burn such an amount one will have to work out on his home trainer for 12 hours. This means, losing weight merely through exercise is hardly achievable. But it is important to maintain a regular exercise routine. It helps you to increase muscle mass which in return burns more calories. Besides this you will also feel a lot better. But there is no way around limiting your calorie intake. A combination of both will bring you a step closer to your goal.
One last word: Most weight loss efforts collapse quite quickly because people set unrealistic goals. Go for small steps, easy to achieve and a glitch once in a while is nothing bad. Just get back on track and never give up!

A Simple Admiration to Madam Cory Aquino
I was then in my elementary age, when the assassination of Former Benigno Aquino was been heard. And the story of Cory Aquino struggling for democracy had started. From then on I had witnessed the story of Edsa Revolution who had awakened the lives of Filipino for its democracy. Looking back I still keep is recall seeing people marching going to EDSA, nuns holding each other, praying the rosary and singing democratic song. . And the only tangible memory that I still have is this picture of me holding yellow stuffs, wearing yellow and striking a pose showing support to Cory Aquino.
I believe that Filipinos have become better because of Cory. She has touched lives and became a role model to almost everyone. Now that she had passed away, every one reminisce the good things that Cory had brought to our lives. Her kindness to her mankind had shown up that Filipino people are again joining force to support Madam Cory where ever she is now. I am pretty sure that Madam Cory is more happy and contented because she had shared her lives to millions of Filipinos and now she is joining God in his Kingdom.

Bicho-Bicho
In the midst of global financial crisis and the continuous massive lay offs, most people these days are awaken to the truth that now is the time to take the lead. Now is the time to take on the initiative to end the decade-old phenomenon of rat race.
In today’s global economic status, everybody must be creative, resourceful and assertive. Laid- off workers must not mourn over the misfortune, instead see it as an opportunity to get up and move on. This is the right time to be your own boss, be an entrepreneur. You must not let this crisis pull you down and the rest of the working class. You can make a difference, you can create jobs. Yes, you heard it right; you can be the boss of your own business and at the same time provide job opportunities to others. All these are possible through FRANCHISING!
What is franchising? Franchising happens when someone develops a business model and sells the rights to operate it to another entrepreneur, a franchisee. The company selling the rights is the franchisor. The franchisee usually gets the rights to the business model for a specific time period and in a specific geographic area. Franchising is sometimes referred to as business format.
A simple kiosk or food cart can make dream come true. At present, many filipinos who had been permanently laid off from their jobs find something that can be a source of their living. Bicho-bicho for instances which is very common in rural areas to be their afternoon merienda now have turn in franchising which can be found in the mall to be leading finger food of many people. Can you imagine that? Its because of the financial crisis people turn to adopt what is available that their money can afford to buy. Who can think of simple bicho-bicho that someday it would evolve in the big market.
This only means that nothing is impossible in this world if we will just do a part to make our dreams a reality.

GIRLS DESTINY #01
I would remember a little girl had a dream, she dream of a woman wearing a cap in her head, white stockings on and white uniform. She is a Nurse. A nurse that one day she believes she will be.
Sharing this dreams with her family give her strength and courage to pursue this noble profession. Comes from a typical family whose father is a laborer and her mother is a plain house wife, but their financial capacity never been a hindrance in her studies. She studies hard until she finishes her studies. Their parents are so proud of her. After finishing her studies a lot of good opportunity is awaiting for her locally and abroad. She tried it once but she failed. But there she met a guy who never comes in her mind that someday they will build a family.
Living together with her spouse with full of love and affection made them strong to struggle all the hindrances and challenge in their life. They put God in the center of their Life, in where they get all the strength during the time of weariness, joy when their sadness and make them strong when they are weak. Blessed with three children their life is complete.
Time comes when this girl had plan to explore her learning applying abroad but, maybe destiny working overseas is quite far from her. One day her father was diagnosed to have Colon Cancer and make her decide to quit with her application. She decided to take care of her sick father and she strongly believes that everything was planned by God. Few months after her father diagnosis he passed away. There she remembers that her destiny to be a full pledged nurse is to serve her family first. Like Florence Nightingale that she delivers her service to her mankind without thinking of the financial outcomes in return. Now, there are lots of opportunity comes in her way but she never thought of leaving her mother alone.
At now, this girl is serving God, believing that everything comes from within, and believes that what she had reaches now is the destiny that God has given to her. These reveal the mystery of destiny, of which people are unaware or hardly understand. From her childhood to the time she was chosen as a messenger, spent every moment of her life in line with what was predestined for her. Within this destiny is nothing but the fulfillment of the will of God.
